Titans Agree to One-Year Contract Extension with...

NASHVILLE – The Titans have agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension with tight end Anthony Firkser.

Firkser was slated to be an exclusive rights free agent in March. He’s now officially under contract for 2020.

Firkser, a Harvard graduate who initially joined the Titans following a minicamp tryout in 2018, had some big moments for the Titans in 2019 as his game continued to develop.

Firkser had a touchdown catch in the team’s playoff win at New England, and he also made a big third down catch late in that contest. Firkser also had a 22-yard touchdown catch in the AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs.

During the 2019 regular season, Firkser caught 14 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown in 15 games. In the team’s three playoff games, Firkser had three catches for 45 yards and two touchdowns.

Firkser played in 12 games for the Titans in 2018, and finished the year with 19 catches for 225 yards and a touchdown.
